A whole new perspective by Lindsey Swims
This week in Nicaragua has changed my views on just about everything. God has shown me continuously how important relationships are. They are all we are left with after we leave this Earth. He not only used the families to love and encourage me but He used my team as well. I want to give a special shout out to Taylor Smith for always being there to talk and help me through all the emotions and past scars I had to face. Through out this week He has changed my perspective on where I find my self worth and how I shouldn't form my identity based on what I do or don't have. It was hard at first for me to understand how these people were so joyful when I looked through my materialistic view and saw their living conditions but they were so proud of the little they did have and they were eager to share it was all of us. I know God was teaching me a lesson through that because at home I have all this "stuff" and I'm still not nearly as happy and proud as most of these people were. I realized how easy it is to find something to complain about rather than appreciate what God has already blessed me with. Also on this trip God challenged me to not limit Him to my human mindset. He repeatedly showed me just how big He was and it was so cool. Every single person on this team played a necessary part and it wouldn't have been the same without each and every one of them. I would encourage anyone reading this to sit down with one of us and let us tell you everything we experienced with an open mind because I know God wants to use this to change you as well.

Day four in Nicaragua!! -By Jacob Raines
So... we are all having a blast down here! For the last few day we have had the pleasure of participating in hanging out with the humble people and crazy children of a small village called Chunco. There is something that God has made special about serving others. If it's serving at home or in a different country, God rewards and brings favor to His servants with insight, wisdom, and love. The culture of Nicaragua is eye opening as a person coming from the states, these people are content with very little, and they are as humble as can be. One thing that brought a smile to my face happened when some young boys that I hung around asked me with worry in there voices if I was going to be back the next day to play with them.
All the fun and games aside, I did not raise 12 hundred bucks just to play soccer and to hang out with some kids. Our mission team has not kept our eyes off the prize, we are pursuing the salvation for the people in Nicaragua as Christ has called us to. I am super excited for the coming days, as we get the opportunity to witness to some amazing people. It's really great to see God move in big ways here.
God bless
-Jacob
P.S. here is a few pictures of me and the boys

Nicaragua Fun!!
Hello everyone it's Sebastian here. Well I'll first start out by saying for me personally my life has and will be FOREVER changed. I'm so thankful to God for an opportunity such as the one given to us today. We started off the with an introduction service were we met all of the Amigos for Christ staff. I must say I've never such a wonderful and super group of people. Then after we went into a community with awesome people. We were told that we should go in and get out own person and try to get to know their story. For some it was super hard interacting with the locals in the town but I'll tell ya. When God is there its ALWAYS a success. Today we had something call Changa Olimpcas were there were baseball, 100 meter dash and shot put. That was just amazing!!!!! For those who didn't play just interacting with the kids and watching them have fun made everything better. Watching kids laugh at how crazy some of us played makes me smile right now. Please keep Megan in your prayers, she really isn't feeling to well but we know shell be just fine. Devotional was absolutely amazing we got hear a story about a 8 year girl who changed an adults life. Right now all is well. Some people such as myself is a tad bit homesick but I'm okay. The Amigos Store is pretty cool here too!!! Hope all is well back home. We love ya.
